The location of Prospect Farm Cottages is absolutely fantastic, with easy access to popular tourist destinations such as Whitby, Scarborough, and York. the North Yorkshire Moor Railway is also nearby, providing a delightful opportunity for a seaside trip on a steam train to Whitby. the cottages themselves are clean and comfortable, offering a true home away from home experience. the beds are incredibly comfortable with luxurious bedding, ensuring a restful sleep. the fully stocked kitchen is perfect for cooking, and towels and tea towels are provided. Dog owners will especially appreciate the dog-friendly atmosphere and the availability of paddocks for exercise. the owners are also very friendly and accommodating, offering fresh eggs and valuable advice on dog walking in the area.

One minor drawback is that the entry to the cottage is carpeted rather than having a hard floor, which can be less convenient when staying with dogs in a farm setting. this can be easily managed by using protective sheets.

Nothing, it is perfect.

Great stay over Christmas. Cottage had all the essentials, including tea, coffee, and milk. the location was perfect for exploring the nearby attractions, and we enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. the gated entrance provided added security, which was reassuring.

Two slight drawbacks. the DVD/video player was outdated and glitchy, and we could have used extra tea towels and bin liners.

We had an absolutely fantastic few days at Prospect Farm Cottages. The high quality accommodation is set in a stunning location, perfectly placed to explore the North Yorkshire moors and coastline. The nearby village of Thornton le Dale is beautiful, with two pubs, takeaways, shops, bakeries. The hosts, Wayne, Denise, and Luna, were friendly. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone, and we will definitely be back. Our 6-month-old Collie had the time of her life!

Perfect easter getaway - well situated for exploring nearby attractions, including Scarborough, Pickering, Whitby, and Filey. Dog owners will love the direct access to fields, our pup had a blast! the cottage was wonderful - clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed. the friendly host was also very helpful in making our stay enjoyable.

Minor faults - the quilt was too thick for a comfortable sleep, but removing it improved our rest. Being a barn conversion, insects were expected, but having a fly swatter would have been handy.

The cottage we stayed in was absolutely lovely and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well-equipped, and it was great to have tea, coffee, and milk provided. The location was perfect, with beautiful views and easy access to local attractions. We also appreciated the helpful and welcoming owner, who made us feel right at home.

That the bedroom had restricted head space, as can be expected in a barn conversion. But overall, it didn't really bother us and didn't take away from our enjoyable stay.

A perfect adult escape! The beautiful cottages were very well presented and had everything we needed. The comfortable bed with luxurious bedding made for a great night's sleep. We loved sitting in the lovely garden, enjoying a bottle of wine and watching the sunset. The area was beautiful and peaceful, with a view of the Pickering Vale. As a solo traveler, I felt safe and welcomed by Martyn and his family. The location was great for exploring the surrounding area, including Whitby and Scarborough. The cottages were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with a fabulous garden area and lockable storage for bikes.
